Free Job Skills TrainingWe know that change is inevitable. A person can work faithfully for 35 years in a factory, have it close unexpectedly, and be suddenly unemployed with no retirement income. A person cannot even apply for a job many times unless he or she uses a computer to do so. So you are older and unemployed: how do you get computer job skills? Adult Life Training, Inc. provides free computer job skills training. Everyone is welcome. We help people re-enter the workforce by teaching them the basic computer job skills required for most jobs. We have a formal curriculum and enrollment. Our students use both Microsoft and Red Hat Linux computers, Microsoft Office (Word Excel, Power Point), Sun Open Office (Writer, Calc, Impress), Internet searches and browsing including job searches, e-mail, and instant messaging. The Linux skills are developed in class and the Microsoft skills through outside practice. Computer Job Skills are easy to learn if you have a patient, knowledgeable instructor. We have helped over 500 people since January 2002 to gain the computer job skills that they needed to get a job, and all without charging them one dime. You can live with dignity and purpose. Several hundred people can agree: they know more now than they ever thought they could learn. We can help you too. Come to the Beginners' class (9:00 AM Monday) to get started.
OpenOffice is available to everyone, in every nation, every language, every organization and business, FOR FREE, from http://www.OpenOffice.org. Click the picture for download. It works with Microsoft Windows(TM), Apple OS/X, and a host of Unix and Linux distributions, such as Red Hat Fedora, Novel SuSE, and Mandrake, most of which are also available for free. There is very little re-training involved in a business switching to OpenOffice, and no hassles with software licensing, record keeping, or infringement law suites. |
