What We Do

Adult Life Training, Inc. provides free computer job skills, personal finance, and other training. While anyone is welcome, most of our clients are at least 55 years of age. We help people re-enter the workforce by teaching them basic computer job skills required for most jobs. We have a formal curriculum and enrollment.

Over a period of time, our students gain experience through hands-on training in class and practice outside of class. They use both Microsoft and Red Hat Linux computers, Microsoft Office (Word Excel, Power Point), Sun Open Office (Writer, Calc, Impress), Internet searches and browsing including job searches, e-mail, and instant messaging. The Linux skills are developed in class and the Microsoft skills through outside practice at home, the public library or other location with computers available. They learn about computer security and privacy concerns, the different operating system choices businesses are making today, and why. They are taught to embrace, even enjoy, the exciting new technology that they have the opportunity to use in our modern workforce. And they succeed!

You can succeed too! All classes are free to the student. We are currently an un-funded not for profit "Faith Based" work authorized under President Bush's executive orders of February 2002.
