Philanthropy OpportunitiesThere are several opportunities to help us re-train displaced workers with computer job skills so that they can re-enter the work force. Adult Life Training, Inc. (ALTI) has been providing free computer job skills training since 2004. We are recognized as tax exempt under IRC section 501(c)(3) as a Public Charity (school) with donations deductible under Section 170. We need your help. If you can help even a little with these needs it would be appreciated. We will send a donation letter. IRS recognition letter and other relevant info is available by clicking "Tax Papers" at the bottom left of this screen. Advertising Underwriter Help Support an Instructor Table Fund These rooms are to be joined by removing adjoining walls, adding an exterior door and asthetically pleasing walk way, and installing a coffee bar. A $20,000 grant has already been requested to buy the requisite new computers that can run the three most common business operating systems (Mac OS/X (Unix), Linux, and Microsoft) to replace our 350MHz Dell computers. These computers were made in 1997 and run at about 10% the required speed for modern software. We still need appropriate furniture, a licensed architect who can provide proper plans for the rennovation, building materials, and a contractor who can perform the work to convert these rooms into the community meeting center and Internet Cafe. Until then we need six eight foot long tables to hold our existing computers. We have borrowed tables form Abundant Life but they really do need their tables back. Tables cost about $70 each from Staples, Office Depot, etc. |
